Excellent prayer book

This is a wonderful prayer book! However, I am disappointed that the page edges are not gold guilt, given the price. Just plain white. In all fairness guilt edges are not mentioned but it was mentioned in on of the reviews. It’s on me for assuming.

This Is by far the best prayer book I have ever owned! Very high quality book and very high quality content. Will be purchasing more as gifts.

When my grandmother died (1901-2004), I found this book and took it since no one else wanted it. It’s the original printing from 1945 and I fell in love with it. I got the Catholic Book Store I used to work for in Dallas, Tx to carry it and sold it out as soon as the shipments arrived. It’s also a great gift. I have several extra copies so I never take my grandmother’s copy out of the house.

I finally bought this last year at our local Catholic bookstore, and I love it even more than I had anticipated. Perfect for everyday, has prayers for everything, fits in a purse, and if you can take only one devotional book when you travel, this is IT. Even has selections from The Imitation of Christ, and all of the epistles and gospels for the traditional rite. The novenas are excellent, as are the rosary meditations. Where was this book when I was young? I guess it was purged during the, uh, "renewal" of the late 60s/early 70s. Every Catholic should have this book. I hope it is back in stock soon.
