The Haydock Bible is a very helpful resource to better understanding the Catholic (universal) teachings of Holy scripture, as prescribed by Jesus Christ through his One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. For instance, there are numerous prophecies in scripture and it's helpful to understand how they relate to today.

As we study the word of the Lord, we will better increase our faith.
For the Apostle Paul said that we ought to study the faith, so that we're well grounded and rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ (see 2 Timothy 2:15).

Also increasing in prayer is necessary, for we ought to pray the Rosary daily and if possible the full 15 decade rosary, so that we may draw nearer to Christ and better examine our conscience daily.
