Advent Calendar: Wednesday of the First Week

Advent Calendar: Wednesday of the First Week

December 5th

“The hour is come in which all who are in the tombs shall hear the voice of the Son of God. And they that have done good shall come forth unto resurrection of life but they who have done evil unto the resurrection of judgement” - (Jn. 5:28)

What better motivation to live rightly than the thought of that glorious moment? We prepare now for Christ’s coming in the manger so that when He comes again as Judge we will be ready. Nothing else in this life is worth striving for if it costs us the end for which we were created. Whatever trials may come or whatever compromises we are tempted to make, the end to which we are called surpasses them all!
