A Journey Through Sacred Artistry

The Renaissance period witnessed the flowering of Catholic artistic expression like never before. Each page of this calendar opens a window into this luminous era, presenting masterpieces that have moved hearts and minds for over five centuries.

Why Renaissance Art Speaks to Us Today

Eternal Beauty: Marvel at the works of legendary masters like Ghirlandaio, Botticelli, Raphael, and Fra Angelico. Their artistic genius captures the divine, creating beauty that transcends earthly concerns and speaks directly to the Catholic soul.

Sacred Contemplation: In our fast-paced modern world, these images offer moments of profound reflection. Let the serene faces of Raphael's Madonnas or the powerful narratives of the van der Weyden nativity triptych guide your daily prayers and meditation.

Theological Depth: Witness how Renaissance artists became theologians with brushes and paint. These works embody Catholic teaching through visual storytelling, making complex doctrines accessible and emotionally resonant to Catholics across the centuries.

You'll Know Everything

Is today a traditional fast day? Does the Octave supercede the Friday abstinence? Whose Feast Day is coming up? When do Each of the Archangels have their Feast Days? When are the next Ember Days?
All these questions and more are all answered in the Angelus Press calendar. I get one for my office, one for my home....my sister gets one for each married daughter... Whether you can attend the TLM or go to the Novus Ordo, this calendar is priceless. Every. Single. Year.

Interesting

Please use larger print for easier reading.

Interesting Renaissance art: men dressed as court jesters, Saint Michael killing some endangered river creature, baby Jesus with a jeweled crucifix, the Blessed Virgin with 14th century bound bibles, Jesus gesturing the Tawhid sign to a Viking, and find Jesus in the Calvary crowd. (I found Him.)

Gorgeous

We absolutely love our new calendar. It's beautiful and useful and has all of the saint/feast/fast days laid out in an easily decipherable manner. And when I couldn't figure it out, there was a key! Thank you for such a gorgeous product.

Prior years were better..

It was SO helpful to have December of the current year begin the new year and then to have January of the following year available for the current year. So essentially a 14 month calendar.
