“We place this book in the hands of St. Joseph, begging him to commend it to the patronage of Mary, Mother of God. May the comfortress of the afflicted obtain peace of heart for all who read these lines!”—Rev. Fr. De Lehen, S.J., Author of The Way of Interior Peace

This book is intended to provide all Christian souls the means of preserving interior peace, or, if lost, regaining it. Interior peace is the great foundation upon which all spiritual growth is built. This is the very reason that preserving peace is of such great importance and consequently explains why the Evil One makes so many attempts to rob us of it.
Many Catholics feel that inner peace is often lost because they do not possess a clear road map to guide them from where they are to where they wish to be. This profound book was created to solve that problem.

The author lays out the conditions necessary for peace and growth. The first condition of interior peace is the removal of common hindrances and the second is child-like abandonment to the Divine Will. To overcome these obstacles, souls need two types of knowledge: knowledge of our duties and knowledge of the path on which God leads mankind to sanctity. The lack of this knowledge is the primary source from which innumerable interior anxieties and troubles spring up, shaking souls to their very foundation.

It is hoped that these pages will demonstrate what must be done to regain lost peace and that it will prove consoling for souls everywhere.

Take this book into your heart and home and use it to make significant changes in your spiritual life and future. It is a valuable weapon against spiritual stagnation, scruples, and lethargy. Moreover, it will help facilitate growth in any soul who reads and follows its advice.

We all need peace!

I have just begun to read this book, but I already consider it a classic. The first chapter explains an often misunderstood concept that God is the author of both good and evil. This thought goes against your first reaction to this truth, especially if you have never encountered it before. The essence is that God only allows what is for your benefit and so we should find peace despite the encounter with the Cross.
I am digesting this slowly and using it for my meditations. I am happy with my purchase and recommend it.
