The Baroque period, which spanned from around 1650 to 1790, is a remarkable era in Catholic art history. In this beautiful 15-month calendar, we provide a sample of the artists and styles that exemplify the best of this period. The opulence of Baroque art conveys the awe-inspiring majesty of the Church Triumphant. Baroque artworks aimed to instill the faithful with the visual certitude of Christ’s eternal victory while simultaneously counteracting the Protestant revolution. This art reminds the world that Christ is God, that He founded the Catholic Church through His Apostles, and that the gates of hell would never prevail against it.

The images from this period are profoundly theological, emotionally moving, and remarkable in their beauty. Baroque artists masterfully utilized light, drama, and exaggerated motion to evoke a sense of dynamism and grandeur—all to the glory of God

2025 Traditional Liturgical Calendar

The glossy paper stock that this calendar is printed on is pretty, but makes the calendar TOTALLY UNUSABLE as a daily calendar! Any entry smears and pencil entries do not erase without leaving a large smear. Ink entries must be crossed out.
But the liturgical notes are useful, e.g., date of Easter etc. So, I have a copy of the non-picture pages made in order to obtain a usable daily calendar.

Function, not pretty glossy pictures is important to me.

A Beautiful Calendar

As usual, it's beautiful! I appreciate the size of the individual day blocks: perfect for writing in family events.

Confused

I’ve watched two nights with my new booklet and can’t find where they are. I shall study it I guess. I wish there was a ‘cheat sheet’. A layperson’s Guide? I’m so thrilled the SSPX put this on YouTube. And the Mass.
