I Rejoice To Have Read Fr. Mateo's Book!

Fr. Mateo Crawley - Boevey's book, Jesus King of Love, moved me to greater devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, as well as the saints who promoted these devotions like St. Margaret Mary, St. Gertrude, St. Alphonsus Liguori, St. Pius X, the children at Fatima, and even Fr. Mateo, who was a tireless and world wide promoter of these devotions and saints in a day when we did not have such easy communication and travel as we have today. I appreciate Patrick D's reminder about Thursday nights.

I also dearly appreciate Fr. Larkins' biography of Fr. Mateo, Firebrand, and the Enthronement of the Sacred Heart in the Home, which is a concise introduction to these devotions. Do see the Angelus version of the Holy Hour of Reparation booklet as well. It is very handy to have when making a Sacred Heart holy hour before the Blessed Sacrament or at home. With confidence in the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.....

Perfect

JMJ. This book is perfect for accurate instruction on how to practice the Sacred Heart devotion that has been lost. Also use his Holy Hours book. Pope Pius X ordered Fr. Mateo to organize the Sacred Heart devotion. I would first read the autobiography of St. Margaret Mary (TAN) as well to learn what Our Lord actually said to do. Obedience! That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Many don’t know about the Thursday night (Eve of Friday) part of the devotion. Many instructions leave it out.

Great book

I am learning a lot about how to pray and what it means to live in faith. Many of the basics pillars of our faith I knew them bit did not have a clear understanding till I read the pages of this book. I tend to re-read each chapter to pound the concepts more firmly into my mind.
