Roman Forum 2013

by Brent Klaske

Founded in 1968 by Deitrich von Hildebrand, the Roman Forum has hosted, since 1991, an annual Summer Symposium in Gardone Riviera, on Lake Garda in Northern Italy. The purpose of this 10-day, 11-night symposium is to “introduce participants to a full sense of the Catholic life. These explore the historical development and character of Christian Civilization. On the literary, musical, and artistic plane, the Symposia offer an environment in which writers, singers, instrumentalists, painters and sculptors may practice their art, teach, write, perform, and exhibit their work. In the active sphere, they provide a forum for contact and strategy planning between Catholics and Catholic organizations in the United States and those in Europe.”

This year, the Symposium is being rebranded as the First International Congress of Catholic Christendom, and our own editor, Mr. James Vogel will be speaking. Mr. Vogel will deliver a talk titled, John Senior, Education, & Restoration of Simple Things.

The Congress will take place from July 1 – 11th, and Mr. Vogel will be joining such renowned speakers as John Rao, Patrick Brennan, Christopher Ferrara, James Bogle, and more. For more information, visit the Roman Forum’s Summer Symposium site.
